"From primordial basement rock to post-architectural electroclash, PWOW has been producing manic rhythmic noise since 1993. Expect a heavy dose of cosmic synth noodling, plunderphonic sample stylings and a side order of guitar skronk, and expect to be altered by the experience."

1993 was an interesting year. Dinkytown was the area of inspiration and artistic freedom. The Rollins house was the abode that sparked the creative beginnings of something phenomenal.

A collection of individuals who discovered certain psychological effects by using musical instruments, drum patterns, chord progressions, looped voice patterns of speech and chanting.With no typical song structure, they were able to create sonic textures that would affect the human mind and open up a clarity normally achieved by years of practice and mastery of meditation.

These experiments continued on for several years. While these experiments were recorded on cassette tapes and mini discs, many were lost and stolen by people seeking the healing nature of these sounds.

As the project began to dwindle and other members of this experiment moved on to other things, the beginning of PWOW finally came to an end.

Because of the state of the world in 2017, members of the PWOW collective have decided to start the experiments up again. Is that what drew you to them?
